Living Forward Fitness was founded in 2014 by certified integrative nutritionist, personal trainer, and kitchen maven, Tina Hinchman.

With more than 20 years of education, research, and personal experience  I bring my clients a comprehensive approach to developing the best plan for achieving their current health and wellness goals.  I do not believe in restrictive plans that leave no room for life or that there is only one path to achieve the healthy, happy life you desire.  The key to achieving your wellness goals is to engage in a plan full of food and routines that you enjoy, that help you create and maintain a life you love to live.

I am a self-professed foodie — the kitchen is probably my favorite place to be (next to the beach)! When I’m not working, you will likely find me wandering through the grocery store reading labels and checking out new products, in the kitchen experimenting with recipes, or reading something related to fitness and nutrition. I enjoy digging in my garden; experimenting with fresh herbs, vegetables, and flowers. Some of my favorite things include good wine, CHOCOLATE, music, curling up with a book or movie, and spending time with family and friends.  And did I mention, CHOCOLATE?!

After spending most of my life learning how to manage a lifelong struggle with food and body image that were deep seeded in my childhood, in 2012 I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.  This had a large impact on my health.  It turned my life upside down and caused me to rethink everything I thought I knew about living a healthy life.  I had to research, educate myself, and equip myself with new tools that would allow me to heal and manage my health without sacrificing a life the life I had finally come to love.  Today, I approach health and wellness as a journey – not a destination – and I love to help my clients do the same. When you embrace this mindset, you will let go of the stress and the guilt, embrace the process, live in the moment, and focus on moving forward.  It’s about progress, not perfection!

Together we will develop a personalized plan to help you achieve your health and lifestyle goals. You will receive new ideas, resources, support, and the accountability you need to be successful. As your coach, I will support and encourage you on your path to a healthier lifestyle through goal setting, developing the right tools, and ongoing collaboration and consultation.

Fitness For Life

I work one-on-one, or in small groups.  Sessions can be conducted in my client’s home, at their gym, or a suitable outdoor environment.  My goal is to help my clients develop a realistic plan to set and reach fitness goals that allow them to live their version of a healthy, active life.  My programs are based on a functional fitness model.

  • Pre Program assessment specific to your goals, including body mass index (BMI), body fat percentage (BF%), flexibility, readiness for change, success planning

  • Personalized fitness program specific to your lifestyle, goals, and fitness level

  • Ongoing monitoring and reassessment to measure progress and make adjustments based on your preferences, enthusiasm, and fitness level
